Use a 100-grit to file and shorten old enhancements during the refill. With a 100-grit, you can remove excess gel on a newly modeled nail. However, never use a 100-grit on newly applied acrylic. Filing can damage the molecular structure as it is not yet fully solidified.

The rainbow shape is a combination of banana and straight shapes. This allows you to file the sidewalls and the tip of the nail in long movements and work with the rounded side near the cuticles to create a smooth transition. Furthermore, the nail file is wider, allowing you to file larger areas of the nail.
